To accommodate the growing energy efficiency conversation in British Columbia and the continued growth in delegate registration year after year, the 2009 Power Smart Forum was held at the state-of-the-art and newly expanded Vancouver Convention Centre.

The 2009 Forum Welcome Reception was hosted at the Vancouver Convention Centre’s spectacular new West Building, providing unrivalled views of Stanley Park and the North Shore Mountains. Delegates had the opportunity to network with colleagues while sampling some of BC’s locally grown edibles as well as BC’s finest refreshments.
In addition, the Honourable Blair Lekstrom, Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources was officially welcomed to Team Power Smart during the 2009 Forum Welcome Reception.
The VCC West Building was a finalist in the category of Innovation in Sustainable Building Design at the 2009 Power Smart Excellence Awards – truly a masterpiece of design, inspiration and sustainability!
