Optimization for Data Centre Cooling
Learn how the SynapSense wireless sensor network reduced cooling energy use in a data center by 21%. Also, we will show how the system reduced the number of racks above ASHRAE recommended operating range from 34 to 15 while increasing supply temperature by 21ºF.
Learn how this approach will improve a data center’s Power Utilization Effectiveness (PUE) to 1.44, DCiE to 69% and offer annual CO2 abatement of 1,670 metric tons.
The novel Vette approach to data center cooling will also be described – SUN Microsystems recent LAB tests on various data center cooling systems concluded that the Vette system was the most energy efficient. Options for reducing data center cooling energy requirements and their cost savings will be discussed here as well.
