Last year, the Workplace Conservation Leadership Award category was added to the BC Hydro Power Smart Excellence Awards roster to recognize individuals who have shown leadership by instilling a conservation ethic within their organization. These individuals embody a conservation philosophy, even though their main role in a commercial, industrial, or government organization is not energy management.
Eligibility for Nomination
To be eligible for nomination in 2009, nominees must work for an organization located within British Columbia. They must be employees of the organization - not consultants - who have been involved with an energy conservation campaign within the January to December 2008 calendar year.
